Papers, 1792-1936 (bulk 1853-1936)

Family correspondence, business records of Winslow's farm, and family papers of the Denny family. The correspondence is mostly to Winslow from children and grandchildren. Farm records include tax assessments, promissory notes, account books, memoranda, and contracts. Two diaries kept by Winslow describe personal and business matters. Denny family papers contain Civil War letters and pension requests by Elizabeth Denny, the widow of Gilbert Denny, and genealogical material for the Denny and Winslow families. Also included is an 1863 anti-abolition resolution from Washington County Democrats, a 1792 North Carolina land grant, and an 1876 poll book.
